Super73’s A-Series Is Its Biggest Redesign in Years

Super73 A Series

Super73 basically invented the moped-style e-bike look everyone else is now copying. This is the brand’s biggest launch in years and makes it hard to ignore.

Note: this is a spec round-up from Super73’s own launch materials, not a ride review.

What launched

The A-Series, unveiled on 19 March 2026, is a full redesign. That means new frames, new tech, and the brand’s first line built around a modular secondary battery system, plus extra storage. It comes in three sizing platforms:

  • MZFT (27-inch seat height) — from $1,995, or $2,395 for the Special Edition with a bigger battery, adjustable front suspension and a new display
  • M1D (30-inch) — from $2,495
  • B1G (33-inch) — from $2,595, with an SE version at $2,995

All keep Super73’s signature look. Chunky hardtail mini-bike frames, front suspension, and the moto-inspired styling the brand built its following on. US-spec models run Class 2 electronics — a throttle plus pedal assist to 20mph on a 500W motor. That means they don’t comply with the UK 250W/15.5mph EAPC limit.

The bit worth flagging honestly

The smallest platform, the MZFT, has been explicitly positioned by Super73 as suited to shorter and younger riders. If you’re a UK parent looking at this for a teenager, the detail that actually matters is legal, not stylistic. GOV.UK’s EAPC rules allow riders aged 14 and up on a bike with a 250W-or-less motor and assistance capped at 15.5mph. A US-spec Class 2 bike with a throttle and a 20mph assisted mode does not meet that definition. That means it would need to be registered, taxed, insured and ridden with a licence, exactly like a moped. Worth checking Super73’s UK/EU spec carefully before assuming it’s the same bike.

UK and EU availability

Super73 does sell EU-spec versions of some models through its European store, typically restricted to meet local road rules, but availability and specs for the A-Series in the UK hadn’t been confirmed at the time of writing. If you’re in the UK, the safest move is checking Super73’s own EU site directly rather than assuming the US listing applies to you.

Why this is top of our wish list

Super73 is the brand our readers ask about more than almost any other moped-style name, and we have nothing to point them to. If one loan request from our list gets a “yes” this year, we’d like it to be this one.
